I find campaigning for electoral reasons very negative as I see people vying to be politicians making fools of themselves, being ridiculed, and being jokers. The public thinks campaigners are a breath of fresh air, and finds it all amusing when all the while, they do not take campaigners seriously. Those who gets elected are the jokers and not real parliamentarians who does not have the public interests at heart.
This undermines democracy and gives democracy a bad name. Campaigning is so very bad if loonies or wrong people gets elected with badly planned manifestos. We do not need them, and they are based on ignorance and negativity.
For instance, the Alternative Party of Germany has got an anti-Islam policy in their manifesto. This shows so much immaturity, is thoughtless as well as senseless. We cannot have an anti-Islam policy in Germany, so what the Alternative Party really wants is an anti-Salafist policy. It is so horrendous that anyone would think of being anti-Islam, just as you would think it could be anti-Christian.
Mind you, having a Christian Democratic Party is wrong, and this party have made themselves sitting ducks announcing a Christian Party. There is no way we can have a Islam Party so this is unfair system.
Back to the beginning, it is very good that we have someone like Beppe Grillo and Donald Trump who have no experience in politics and they are the postulants of politics. It is dangerous that either one of them can try and rule single handedly without genuine advisers to help reform and shape the country.
These genuine advisers are really lacking in the world of politics if they cannot judge and make real proper decisions to bring about democracy.
But campaigning is bringing out the worst in people, and does not show the real picture of politics. I mean, do anyone have to pretend to be mad to become famous? It is a complete waste of time and money and undermining democracy.
Money is just buying fame without any regard to the needs of the people. I am not criticising anyone campaigning who [Parties] can afford to campaign and spend millions. I am saying it is all futile if we do not get the right people to become rulers and leaders. This type of campaigning is not the path to politics and peace.
Beppe Grillo and Donald Trump are more people sympathetic, and knows more about the way people live and experiences. Much more than some politicians who have a different lifestyle with no real life experiences.
If not, they and others can learn about poverty, chastity and humility by spending time in a monastery or nunnery. These institutions offer lessons to live life the hard way just like I did. I thought I had a vocation, and it turns out it was politics after all. I was in my twenties then, being a Postulant of St Francis of Assisi, and then Postulant and Novice of St Vincent’s Sisters of Charity.
Speaking about the hard life, prisoners [Rapists, Thieves, Murderers] are having it too easy living the cosy prison life learning nothing about the lessons of the hard life. Monasteries and Nunneries would be the best place for them with security of course.
Speaking about a different kind of campaigning, I would like to bring to attention that we may have tons of surplus food from farming. We have concerns about some countries who fail to harvest because of bad weather. Countries who have had good harvest and got a surplus could dispose of the surplus of harvest to countries who have failed to harvest. There is the over production, and expiration.
Preventing food waste and hunger is key for countries who have reaped the full benefits. It would be good if all these countries can create a cooperative, to deal with these concerns and prevent food waste and hunger. This would ensure that all peoples have proper nutrition and brain food especially in third world countries and war torn countries.
There is an opportunity to have contract farming agreements as a tool of choice to boost agriculture during import substitution in any country. Contract farming associations are also part of the package to stimulate farms if we can use this opportunity of import substitution in any country to boost farms. Contract farming as agricultural production carried out according to an agreement between buyer and farmers, which establishes conditions for the production and marketing of a farm product or products.
The models used in the policy of import substitution must be cooperative, and that import substitution gives advantages to big agricultural holdings. If we drive this import substitution to provide support for farmers, it will open doors for them. If we try and to open opportunities for big enterprises then the small farming will not be boosted.
There are different models that can provide support for farms. They are very efficient individually but they are very small, so they have disadvantage related to big scale productions. Providing support for small farms is one of the key factors to achieve one of the sustainable development goals to end hunger and poverty.
Having a cooperative of small farms will help to keep farmers in business, and stay profitable especially on milk. At present the milk price is very low and is not sustainable sold by only one farmer. It makes sense to have all farmers together not to count their losses and food waste.
